I am using this book for an undergraduate seminar in organizational psychology that focuses on job satisfaction and work motivation. This book is really too much for my undergraduates, who are not used to making sense of conflicting findings. But I gave it 5 stars because it is far and away the most comprehensive text on work motivation on the planet (and beyond). Pinder has an accessible writing style that I like (even if my UGs balk), and I would happily use the text in an introductory course for graduate students. If you are a serious student of work motivation – this book is for you.

While the book was delivered as advertised and was in superb condition, I have to say that the content of the book is about the most boring I have ever seen. The teacher actually discontinued the book in week 3 of an 8 week course because it was so hard to follow. I believe it was written for a Canadian University at the Master Level. Definitely do not recommend the book for leisure reading.
