REV. DR. MITZI LYNTON

Rev. Dr. Mitzi Lynton is a spiritual visionary, assisting in shifting global consciousness from fear to faith, peace, love and joy. An inspirational keynote speaker, teacher, spiritual counselor/coach and certified bereavement facilitator, she joyfully assists people in awakening to deeper purpose, calling them to dare2create a life they love…and a world they desire to live in. 

Dr. Mitzi exudes joy and is a loving, powerful expression of peace, building bridges between people of all faiths, philosophies, cultures and races. In the fall of 2005 she was asked by the Faith and Community Initiatives Department of the Governor's office of Arizona to accept an assignment assisting the ongoing needs of families and individuals who were evacuated to Arizona as a result of Hurricane Katrina.

 In Spring of 2006, she was invited to be the co-director of the Arizona Department of Peace with Terri Mansfield http://www.azdopcampaign.org and also to represent the Affiliated New Thought Network (ANTN) as their Peace Emissary http://www.antn.org.

In May of 2007 Dr. Mitzi accepted a position at Creative Living Fellowship http://www.creativelivingfellowship.com, where she is also on the faculty, to be their part-time Congregant Care Minister. Formerly, she had been the minister for All Faiths Church in Sun Lakes, AZ.

In the summer of 2007 Dr. Mitzi, who is known for her deep love of animals, was asked by Best Friends Animal Society to be a co-author of a Religious Proclamation for Animal Compassion. Together, with over 24 other faith leaders from a wide array of Faith Traditions, she began the task of co-authoring the proclamation. In November she traveled to Washington D.C. to unveil the proclamation in the Canon Caucus Room with many other faith leaders and members of congress. In the Spring of 2008, Dr. Mitzi, who also serves on the board of the Arizona Interfaith Movement http://www.interfaitharizona.org, co-authored a book with 12 other faith leaders. This book, Voices of Faith, includes 12 chapters written by a representative of each faith: Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, Catholicism, American Protestant Christianity, Al-Islam, Sikhism, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, New Thought, Christian Science, Baha’i, Unification.  Some reviews:

Originally from London, England, Dr. Mitzi’s ministerial credentials and Doctorate of Religious Studies are from Emerson Theological Institute and her M.A. is from the University of Utah in English Literature.  Her creative expression has found many forms, including touring Europe as an ice dancer with Holiday on Ice, coaching ice-skating, and teaching. She has been instrumental in organizing events that bring varied spiritual and secular communities together to promote peace for all of earth’s inhabitants. Dr. Mitzi loves speaking to a wide array of organizations, facilitating workshops/classes and ceremonies, making short spiritual films and living a fully-expressed life. A vegetarian for 18 years, Dr. Mitzi now embraces a vegan/raw food lifestyle. She lives in Arizona with her beloved, Ron Peer, who loves all the exotic raw food meals Mitzi prepares, and their six cats, Ribena, Socrates, Dash, Katie, Echo and Nefertiti.
